Martin on Main redevelops a site at 835 East Main Street in Louisville, Kentucky, into a 197,000-square-foot mixed-use destination. This six-story podium structure features 137 apartments stacked above a two-story concrete base containing parking and commercial space. Positioned between a dense commercial corridor and a historic single-family neighborhood, the design navigates complex zoning constraints to bridge these distinct urban scales. The building integrates a wealth of resident amenities including a third-floor swimming pool, coworking spaces, and a fitness center with a climbing wall. The ground floor activates the streetscape by housing Nami Korean Steakhouse, an award-winning restaurant by Chef Edward Lee.
